Factory 220 Wedding:  Angelina + Stacey

I remembered my consultation with Angelina and Stacey in back in December of 2015.  Angelina’s last question to me was:  “So what are most of your clients like?”  My response was:  “A lot of my clients seem to have an artistic side to them, most of them certainly seem to have a strong love and appreciation for art and photography.”  Unbeknownst to me back then was that Angelina had a background in the visual arts!

It all began in grade school for these two as they actually went to the same K-8 Catholic school.  They were a year a part, grade wise, but Stacey became best friends with Angelina’s cousin.  They grew up ten minutes away from each other but their lives would take on different paths.  Angelina went on to pursue a career in education whereas Stacey became a Black Hawk helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army. They were reunited  in 2012 thanks to an introduction from Angelina’s cousin.  When they were dating, they frequently met up at the historic Hoboken train station as their rendezvous point.  The Hoboken train station was where we photographed their engagement session back in June.

They’ve been happily together since 2012 and some of their favorite activities include traveling and eating out.  They’ll be spending their honeymoon in Italy in part because Stacey’s favorite food is pizza and Angelina loves pasta. In particular, they plan on visiting Cinque Terre, a beautiful fishing village on the Italian Riviera with really colorful buildings on the seaside and then on to Tuscany for the legendary Florentine steak.
I wish them so much joy and happiness in their new lives together!!
I can’t thank my good friend and second photographer Aaron Morris enough for being part of this day and taking some amazing photographs!!!

Indian Wedding: Nishita and Akhil

A heartfelt thank you to Ryan Brenizer who trusted me to document the first two days of this three-day Hindu wedding and then second shoot for him on the third day.  I still have memories of Nishita and Akhil’s wedding which took place in the sultry month of August in Somerset, New Jersey.  How could I not, this was my first Hindu wedding and it was an experience to remember as it was a culmination of beauty and intensity – each day consisted of several different rituals and mini ceremonies.  The mélange of colors, aromatic fragrances, and music all left such an indelible impression on my 2013 wedding season.
