Christine and Jesse at The Venetian – Louboutins make The Man

Yes, another second shooting assignment with Ryan Brenizer in the month of October – this time at The Venetian in New Jersey.  I have to say this was absolutely one of the most dazzling and flamboyant couples I’ve met.  As a second shooter, shooting the groom “getting ready” is quite straight forward – the groom is usually absorbed in the drudgery of putting on his tux, indulging in a few beers, checking sports scores, scarfing down a sandwich all while getting roasted by his buddies.  In most cases, we as photographers, try to be as stealthy as possible and not upset this male-bonding dynamic. Arguably there are fewer artistic shot opportunities compared to the bride “getting ready”.  Enter Jesse who had totally turned this notion upside down for me.  With his red soled Christian Louboutins (a brand normally associated with the bride and not the groom), bespoke suit, and bejeweled Breitling watch, he made for the most engaging groom “getting ready” shoot yet.  I immediately sensed that Jesse had a special bond with his friends who really did a fantastic job helping him out and just having an awesome time.  I really enjoyed in helping document Jesse and Christine’ special day as well as their friends, a fantastic and “happy-go-lucky” group of people who had some crazy moves on the dance floor.
